Guiding you to a calm and resourceful place

Hypnosis is a state of focussed awareness, where you as the client can give yourself permission to bypass the critical, judgemental part of your mind that keeps the “problem state” in active duty – we show you how to achieve a resourceful state that can help you find solutions to the problems and make changes that improve the quality of your life. In essence we want you to know you are always in control. Stage hypnotist shows may create the impression that you are being told how to perform, however this is achieved by working with people who are happy to enter into a suggestive trance state that has the purpose of entertaining people!

You as a client will always be aware of what is happening and as a member of the South African Institute of Hypnotism (SAIH), I am bound by a code of ethics that addresses your needs with care and compassion in a trusting and safe environment.

All hypnosis is self hypnosis…it’s an inside job! You create mind states and emotional states based on your life experiences and what you have been conditioned or taught to think/ believe and how to behave…in other words: we are hypnotizing our self with what we say to ourselves repetitively and what we visualize (imagine) every day. This becomes “your story” and your powerful unconscious mind develops strong “roots” and will follow this as an order…my work is to help you find a better story and change your unconscious roots and patterns!

Some of these unconscious patterns show up in your life as unpleasant symptoms such as: depression; anxiety; unmanaged stress; trust issues; chronic anger; difficulty concentrating; sleep problems; weight problems; chronic unexplained pain; low self-esteem.

You will learn to get comfortable inside different states of mind as you learn both consciously and unconsciously about yourself…did you know that your conscious mind is only about 10% of your total mental capacity…your unconscious mind controls 90% and is equipped with unlimited supply of resources and will be my goal to help you get to a more calm and resourceful space.

We tend to try and solve these issues with the tiniest part of the mind, the conscious mind where willpower and determination are considered the right attributes for success in life. Your unconscious mind however, controls the “root of your problem states” and we use hypnosis and/or NLP to assist you in the “rewiring” old brain patterns of trauma to more positive resourceful experiences.

An interesting feature of hypnosis is that on some level, the brain does not know the difference between a real or imagined event, so we can use all the natural body processes like feelings and creative imagination to practise what changes you want in your mind states and emotional states and ‘light up’ new neural pathways in the brain …just like rehearsing and learning what your new resourceful life is going to look like and feel like…empowered, confident, successful and resilient to ongoing life changes…

“Wow. I am astonished that it’s all so simple. Suddenly it’s all so clear to me. I was hypnotised for 1 hour and it felt like 5 minutes. I could see details very clearly. I could hear the sounds, the colours just like I was there.”

“June, I have no words to describe how I am feeling right now other than “so excited and alive” about life. Thank you for who you are and what you do…”
