Post traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

Our goal is to assist you in creating a sense of safety and control within you, using simple yet very effective NLP techniques to carefully de-sensitize the old arousal states in the brain of the triggers that revisit the ‘early trauma’. You can regain control of your life and learn to respond more flexibly to people and situations around you.

Many adult survivors of physical, sexual or severe emotional abuse/neglect show symptoms of PTSD.

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a psychological condition that develops after a person has been harmed or exposed to danger, and they have been unable to protect themselves.

PTSD is particularly likely to develop when a person experiences fear, helplessness and powerless, which are all common features of child abuse.

The term PTSD is applied to many other types of traumatic events such as war, car accidents, muggings and hijackings.

Symptoms that may be experienced are:

  • frequent re-experiencing of the event via nightmares or intrusive thoughts

  • numbing or lack of responsiveness to or avoidance of current events

  • persistent symptoms of increased emotional arousal, including jumpiness, sleep disturbances or poor concentration.
